Membership in AAHGS, the national group, entitles you to:

Membership in BAAHGS, the local group, affords you the chance, at our monthly meetings, to:
- Hear guest speakers
- Mentor and network with fellow members
- Go on research and historical trips
Join Us!
Join the Baltimore Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society (BAAHGS/Agnes Kane Callum Chapter) and the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society (AAHGS). Membership is open to all individuals who share an interest in history, genealogy and the pursuit of researching one’s own family story. The membership period in both the national group and the local group is January 1 until December 31.

We are now offering online sign-up through the AAHGS website. By joining or renewing online, you will have:

Renew Your Membership: After you log in, select Member Profile in the upper right corner of your browser window. Then, select More Member Options followed by selecting Chapters/Additional Members. Choose Agnes Kane Callum from the menu. Continue enjoying all that our community has to offer.
Offline Applications
Become a member of AAHGS either before joining BAAHGS/Agnes Kane Callum Chapter or at the same time.
Joining or renewing your membership using the paper application form allows for:
- Personal Preference: Some individuals prefer handling physical forms and may feel more comfortable with traditional mail.
- Paper Trail: Physical copies of documents can be kept for personal records and may be easier to manage for some.
- No Internet Required: Ideal for individuals who do not have reliable Internet access or prefer not to conduct transactions online.
Download and complete the BAAHGS and the AAHGS membership applications and mail both applications, along with payments, to either of the names on the top portion of the BAAHGS application.
